- Where are you located?
- We are approximately 90 miles west of Ft. Worth and 70 miles south of Wichita Falls at 9087 Stephens CR 300, Graham, Texas on Possum Kingdom Lake.
- What is there to do there?
- Here at the resort we offer swimming, basketball, volleyball, horseshoes, and fishing. In the surrounding area you can rent canoes and boats. There are three (3) golf courses in the area, as well as antique shopping in several nearby towns. The nearest bowling alley and movie theater are located in Graham about fifteen miles away. The main attraction is the Lake itself. Let yourself be mesmerized by Possum Kingdom Lake and our incredible sunsets for the best entertainment you’ve had in years.
- Are your cabins on the water?
- Our cabins are fifteen (15) to seventy-five (75) feet from the water.
- What linens do you supply?
- We provide bed linens (sheets, blankets, pillows).
- Do you supply dishes and utensils?
- No. Most people get by with paper plates and plastic ware.
- Do the cabins have coffee pots?
- All cabins have coffee makers and filters.
- Can we bring an air mattress and have extra people?
- No. We have maximum occupancies for all of our cabins and do not allow extra people. The maximums are based on many things: bedding, parking, air conditioning limitations, and health department septic capacity rules, but our main objective is the comfort of our guests. Please trust us and abide by the maximums.
- Do you accept debit cards?
- We do accept debit cards as payment. We do not accept debit cards to reserve rooms. Only a credit card that does not say “check” or “debit” anywhere on the card is acceptable for reservations.
- Will you charge my card when I make a reservation?
- We run an authorization of 50% of the amount of your full stay, at the time of reservation.
- Do you have a boat dock and launch?
- Small to mid-sized boats can be launched from the concrete launch.
- How far in advance can I make reservations?
- One year. However, prices are subjects to change.
- Do you have a swim area?
- Yes, we have a roped off area for swimming only.
- Are campfires allowed?
- Small fires in the raised BBQ grills are allowed at the cabins, but no ground fires are allowed on resort property.
- Is there a grocery store nearby?
- A convenience store is within three (3) miles and Graham is fifteen (15) miles away.
- Do you sell bait and fishing license?
- No, but there are several places nearby that do.
- Do you make exceptions to your ‘no’ pet rule?
- We do not allow any pets in or near the cabins, even small ones in carriers. We charge $200 if we find evidence of a pet in the cabins.
- Can we have friends that aren’t staying at Crystal Bay come over for a party?
- NO. Simply put this not that kind of place. Crystal Bay strives very hard to be the quiet place on the Lake. Our cabin occupancies are strictly enforced and outside visitors are strongly discouraged. In fact they aren’t allowed on holiday weekends or during the months of June, July and August.
- Are there restaurants nearby?
- Several restaurants are within three (3) miles by car or thirty (30) minutes by boat. Graham, with a wide choice of restaurants, is fifteen miles away.
- When is check-in and check-out?
- Check-in is 3:00 p.m.; check-out is 11:00 a.m. If you need to arrive later than 6:00 p.m., please let us know so that we can plan accordingly.
- Do the cabins have cable TV?
- Yes, also DVD players.
- Will my cell phone work?
- Some providers have service in the area, but a few may not have digital service on the resort property. Call your provider for more information.
- Are there phones in the rooms?
- No.
- What is your policy for early departures?
- We do not normally give refunds for early departure. If you depart a full day early before check-out time it is treated as a cancellation. You are still liable for the charges but we will attempt to re-rent the room in order to facilitate a refund to you.
- Can my kids set up a tent and sleep outside?
- Absolutely not, we do not have a separate bathroom and shower facility for campers, the Texas Health Department prohibits tent campers. This restriction applies even to cabin guests.
